According to the Da Nang City Department of Tourism, more than 95,000 Indian visitors travelled to Da Nang in the first nine months of 2023, accounting for nearly 50% of the total Indian visitors to Vietnam.
On November 9, the Da Nang City Department of Tourismannounced that the central city was ranked as the most searched destination on Skyscanner India.
According to Skyscanner’s Travel Trends Report in India, Da Nang leads the top 10 destinations for Indian tourists with the strongest increase in total searches in recent years, up 1,141%,double that of the second-ranked city, Almaty (Kazakhstan).
Indian tourists are highly interested in destinations with shortdistances and beaches to enjoy the sun and relax. Famous for its beautiful beaches, Da Nang tops the search list of Indian tourists, followed by Krabi (Thailand) and Mahe (Seychelles).

The three factors that greatly influence Indian tourists’ choice of destination for their 2024 vacation are food (71%), weather (65%), and cultural experiences (65%).
The top five destinations on the list are Almaty (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Osaka (Japan) and Hanoi (Vietnam), respectively.
With the strength of sea tourism, sunshine and weather, Da Nang is suitable for the preferences of Indian tourists.Besides, Da Nang has many famous seafood restaurants and more than 30 Indian restaurants serving Indian-style Halal dishes.
Shopping activities are also indispensable for the Indian tourists’ journey to Da Nang, including Han Market and Con Market, which are favourite destinations for many Indian visitors.
The City Department of Tourism said that the actual growth of Indian visitors to Da Nang in the first nine months of 2023,initially proves the attraction of the destination, with more than 95,000 Indian visitors travelling to Da Nang, accounting for nearly 50% of the total Indian visitors to Vietnam.
